We are excited to announce that Michelle Wang will participate in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair to be held in Dallas, Texas on May 14-19, 2023.

“Last week, I competed at the Mastodon Science Fair in Hillsboro, MO, and qualified for the 2023 ISEF with my project ‘A Fully Autonomous Heterogeneous Drone Swarm for Collaborative Target Pursuit!’ ISEF is the world’s largest pre-college STEM competition with around 1750 student presenters from 63 countries participating last year. I have dreamed of presenting at ISEF since before high school. I am so excited to have the opportunity to participate this year! I absolutely could not have done it without the GFF’s support,” Michelle exclaims.

Michelle is a 3-time GFF student scholarship recipient. In the summer of 2021, Michelle Wang learned about drone theory, math, and computer vision at the Autonomous Air Racing program at MIT Beaverworks. She and her team programmed a drone as part of a class project at Beaverworks. A video of her drone project is shown at right.

Best of luck presenting at the fair, Michelle. We are so proud of you!
