Arkaprabha Kolay, a rising CCHS sophomore, arrives at Michigan for its summer Michigan Math and Science Scholars program. His field of study is Math and Music. He finds himself in the company of students from around the United States and 24 countries. What an experience this summer will be for him. Cannot wait to hear more about it over the next few weeks!

Arkoprabha reports that he has been learning about the relationship between math and music while attending the Michigan Math and Science Scholars program. Current topics are music theory, functions, vector spaces, fraction expansions, the Fibonacci sequence and the golden ratio of music. Extracurricular activities included visits to the Science Center and the Museum.

As, Arkoprabha nears the end of his time at Michigan, he reports that he enjoyed the entire experience of dorm life and academic study while making friends with similar interests and talents.
