Julian Springer, a 2016 scholarship recipient of the Garwin Family Foundation’s CCHS Student Sponsorship Program for Talented Students in Arts, Sciences and Math, is now back home from the Interlochen Percussion Institute, where he experienced a compact foray into percussion, including clinics and masterclasses. In his report, Julian shares the takeaway lessons he gleaned, the technical skills he improved, and the inspiration that was ignited through his participation in this musical enrichment immersion.
