We have heard from GFF Alumnus Michelle Wang who is attending her first semester at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
“College is like drinking from a firehose. I’ve been in classes for three weeks now, and although I am only taking general education courses, the pace and difficulty of the material continues to surprise and scare me. Luckily, MIT is very collaborative, and I’ve found many friends and upperclassmen who have made the experience enjoyable in spite of the ridiculous workload,” Michelle says.
“Aside from schoolwork, I’ve joined MIT’s Formula SAE racecar team, an assistive technology club, and a few ‘for-fun’ clubs. All in all, it’s been a lot to take in, but I am really enjoying it. I am very grateful for the opportunities here, even if it sometimes comes at the expense of my sleep schedule,” Michelle adds.
