Gabriela Benyas was excited about her first string quartet performance at the Midwest Young Artists Chicago Chamber Music Workshop.
Gabriela Benyas spent two weeks in rehearsal and performance as part of the Midwest Young Artists Chicago Chamber Music Workshop (MYA). This was her second enrichment program of the summer sponsored through the Garwin Family Foundation’s Student Sponsorship Program for Talented Students in the Arts, Sciences, and Math.
At MYA, Gabriela learned to become more comfortable with performance, bonded with her quartet, and received instruction from numerous music coaches. In her report, she provides highlights from the program and what she has incorporated into her daily music practice.
