We are pleased to announce that GFF Alumnus Arkaprabha Kolay will graduate from CCHS in May. He will then attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign next fall, where he will major in Electrical Engineering.

In the summer of 2019, as a GFF sponsorship student, Arkaprabha attended the Michigan Math and Science Scholars program. Last summer, he attended “Introduction to Programming with Machine Learning” at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM).

“I’m very excited and sad as well to be graduating this coming May. I will be going to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), and majoring in Electrical Engineering. I plan to get a head start by joining lots of clubs and meeting new people, as well as keeping in touch with my high school friends. I recently toured the campus again as well, but this time with my parents, and we loved the area and environment at UIUC. I plan to have a graduation get-together with my friends and close families to celebrate the class of 2022 and our graduation,” Arkaprabha says.

“I can’t thank the GFF enough to help me get to this stage through the constant support you guys give me and the opportunities over the summers I had. Overall, I’m looking forward to seeing what the next 4 years have in store for me,” Arkaprabha exclaims!

Congratulations Arkaprabha… We know you will be a huge success at UIUC!
