Approved Enrichment Programs

for the Garwin Family Foundation Student Sponsorship Program for Talented Students in Arts, Sciences and Math

Please read this list carefully, as it is updated every six months. Though one of your peers may have attended a program in previous years, it may have been removed as not serving the GFF’s standards for rigor, selectivity and content. If there is a program to which you wish to apply that does not appear on this list, you must make a strong academic case for its consideration on your application.

The following high school student enrichment programs have been approved by the Garwin Family Foundation (GFF) as eligible for the Student Sponsorship Program for Talented Students in Arts, Sciences and Math. It is also possible for students to nominate programs that are not included on this list for consideration by the GFF. The process for doing so is included in the GFF Student Sponsorship Program application. (NOTE: Online enrichment programs will not be considered.)

Application to selected enrichment programs is separate from the GFF application process for the Student Sponsorship Program and is to be done at the student’s expense and as early as possible. Students are strongly encouraged to apply to more than one program within their area of interest and expertise. The student is solely responsible for applying to selected enrichment programs and for complying with all program deadlines. In addition, students must apply to any scholarship or financial aid offerings provided by the selected enrichment programs for which they may be eligible, and students must subsequently provide proof of program financial awards and/or determinations to the GFF within five business days of receipt. No student will be considered by the GFF for the Student Sponsorship Program until the student submits official proof of enrichment program acceptance, including program assignment to the selected course(s) or study area of interest, to the GFF, as outlined in the application.

NOTE: Acceptance by an enrichment program in no way obligates the GFF. As resources are limited, student sponsorship decisions are made at the GFF’s sole discretion.
