We are pleased to announce that GFF Alumnus Alexander Brown will attend the University of Illinois next fall as an Art and Design major.
As a GFF CCHS sponsorship recipient, Alex attended an Art and Design course at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts last summer. While at PAFA, he was immersed in drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture classes. Photos of his work show a self-portrait sculpture Alex completed as part of the course.
In addition, Alexander Brown was recently named a national medal winner in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. This places Alex in the top 1% of all entries nationwide. Alex’s winning sculpture can be viewed in the online galleries of Scholastic Art and Writing awards, beginning in June 2022. Photos of his work show the self-portrait sculpture he submitted for the award.
